This experiment would be more interesting if you kept the nutrients coming in from both in separate containers. But I do know in general nutrients is necessary to prevent stunted growth.

How do you calibrate ph? Not all vegetables and fruit rely on the same ph. For example blueberries need more acidic ph than basil.

I really like this method in comparison to most.

Open question and opinions from anyone does anyone think those long cardboard waxed lined wine bottles the juice boxes will work for this method? Since the bottles are basically food grade, I wouldn’t be concerned about them contaminating the carrots and they should hold up to the liquids of the hydroponics , even with the holes put through them.

Will definitely try I have started seedling on rockwool but at some point they fail, once I moved them to lecca Maybe the wool is the problem Besides the whole thing takes too much space I will look for cups that fit my kratky baskets that I got Your system seems more efficient in managing space and seems to work I will post an update Fingers crossed ❤

Great idea….it seems warm weather stunts the bottom half; I love carrots for fermenting veggies…. non-organic store bought carrots are apparently soaked in chlorinated water, these are so healthy and non-contaminated looking ! ; )

That is the biggest, most beautiful beet I’ve ever seen……. It puts grocery store ones to absolute shame; the leaves are great for a salad and LOVE using beets in fermented vegetables; amazing !!!!
